The 9th Raisina Dialogue, held from February 21 to 23, 2024, in New Delhi, centered around the theme “Chaturanga: Conflict, Contest, Cooperate, Create”.
The term "Chaturanga" refers to an ancient Indian strategy game, symbolizing the multifaceted nature of global interactions. This theme underscored the complex dynamics of international relations, emphasizing the simultaneous existence of conflict, competition, collaboration, and innovation in the global arena.
The conference featured participation from over 2,500 delegates representing approximately 115 countries. Notably, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Prime Minister of Greece, was the chief guest for this edition. Additionally, the event marked the first high-level delegation of the Nordic-Baltic Eight group of countries outside Europe, highlighting its expanding global significance.
Discussions during the dialogue encompassed a broad spectrum of topics, including geopolitical shifts, economic challenges, technological advancements, and environmental concerns. The theme facilitated in-depth conversations on how nations navigate conflicts, engage in contests, foster cooperation, and drive creation in an increasingly interconnected world.
